Children of the Village – Village Historique Acadien - 2014
You and your family get a chance to live the Acadian tradition. Young visitors can experience the culture and heritage of our Acadian settlers, and it’s so much fun they won’t notice the history lesson! In costume and character, children spend the day among animators in the heart of the Village Historique Acadien. They dance, dine and play along, surrounded by the realistic setting among original buildings and meticulous reconstructions for which the Village Acadien is famous. Children are encouraged participate in the life of the village as a way of experiencing history. They share a traditional meal and lend a helping hand to historical crafts and traditions. This family vacation sets the stage for a dream-like vision of the past and some valuable lessons for the future.
