Children of the Village – Village Historique Acadien - 2014
Let your children get a chance to live the Acadian traditions. Young visitors can experience the culture and heritage of our Acadian settlers, while having fun and learning their traditions. Dressed in heritage costume while playling their role, children spend the day among animators in the heart of the Village Historique Acadien. They dance, dine and play along, surrounded by the realistic setting among original buildings and meticulous reconstructions for which the Village Acadien is famous. Children are encouraged to participate in the life of the village as a way of experiencing history. They share a traditional meal and lend a helping hand to historical crafts and traditions. This family vacation sets the stage for a dream-like vision of the past and some valuable lessons for the future.
