Kids Day at the Village!

Looking for a fun family activity? The Village historique acadien invites you to Kids Day, Saturday, August 26 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.

There are no admission fees for children under 18 and one accompanying adult per child. The day will be full of historical activities to which the children will be able to participate. Pony rides will also be available!

Here is a full list of activities:

 

  • 10 am: Start of activities on the Historical Site
  •  
  • 10 am to 4 pm: Free pop-corn
  •  
  • 10 am to noon: The Paradis Mini Ferme at the Robichaud Farm (poney ride)
  •  
  • 10:30 to 11:30 am and 1 to 2 pm: Split some fire wood at the Cyr House
  •  
  • 10:30 to 12 pm and 1 to 2 pm: Learn how to make hooked rugs at the Doucet House
  •  
  • 10:30 am to 12 pm: Collect some fresh eggs!
  •  
    • 10:30 am: Doucet House
  •  
    • 11 am: Godin House
  •  
    • 11:30 am: Mazerolle House
  •  
  • 10 to 11:30 am: Learn how to make rope at Robin Company Shed
  •  
  • 11:30 am to 1 pm: Free BBQ for children at the Frenette Post House (1 hot-dog, juice and cookie per child)
  •  
  • 11:30 am to 1 pm: Come dance at The Frenette Post House
  •  
  • Noon to 3 pm : The Paradis Mini Ferme at the Robichaud Farm (poney ride)
  •  
  • 1 to 1:30 pm: Learn how to make a loaf of bread at the Cyr House
  •  
  • 2 to 3 pm: Learn how to churn butter at the Thériault House
  •  
  • 3 pm: Fresh bread Tasting at the Cyr House
  •  
  • 3:30 pm: End of Kids Day activities
